The Compton Skyline Project, Brighton, 2006.
You can see part of my film at 02:38 – 03:10.
The Compton Skyline Project was a collaborative project devised by Brighton-based artist Steve Geliot which brought together professional artists and local people to create a unique temporary artwork in the heart of a community. I worked with local people in order to create drawings, both collablorative and my own works that were then used to create a 5 minute video piece, this was then edited into a half an hour piece incorporating the works of 5 other professional artists; Steve Geliot (Lead Artist) Dan Mellor (Lead edit/animation) Miriam King (Dance for film) Ros Barber (Text and Poetry) Brian McClave (Experimental film maker). The film was projected across six 16×32ft screens along the rooftops of Compton Road, Brighton from dusk til after dark for one week in September 2006.
